National Capital Apple Macintosh Users Group (NCA-MUG) comprises Mac enthusiasts based in Washington, D.C. Founded in January 2007, NCA-MUG provides the D.C. Mac community with a place where members can meet others interested in “things Apple” and learn how to make the most use of their computers and other Apple-related products.
We meet once a month—except in August and December—at the Cleveland Park Library, located at 3310 Connecticut Avenue, NW, at the corner of Connecticut Avenue and Macomb Street, from 10 a.m. to noon.
At our meetings we learn from one another and enjoy a wide variety of interesting, informative, and practical presentations by knowledgeable speakers, on Apple/Mac-related topics.
Topics for discussion and presentation at our meetings have included occasional presentations from our local Apple representative; recommended Apps for Mac, iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch use; an overview of software application programs found on the Mac; Mac security; review and use of popular third-party software and hardware; new product introductions; tips and tricks; and much more.
NCA-MUG welcomes members from beginners to the highly advanced. Our goal is to accommodate a diverse group of interests and abilities.
In addition to opportunities for members to share and learn at our regular meetings, NCA-MUG's Yahoo-based online community forum was created as a resource for members. This forum is intended as a place for members to share ideas, Mac-related news, and to seek and offer advice.
We welcome new members. To become a member of NCA-MUG, it is necessary to join our Yahoo group. To join our Yahoo group, click the button, below, and tell us who you are, where you are located, and what you do with your Macintosh computer.
