Meetings are held monthly with sometime exceptions.

Cleveland Park Neighborhood Library
at the northwest corner of Connecticut Ave. and Macomb St.

In place of the regular July meeting we will be holding
a special four-hour Introduction to Computers and Macs.
This seminar will be held Saturday, the 12th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
in the library’s first floor meeting room.
Have you recently bought a computer and are still trying to get comfortable using it?
Are you mystified by computer jargon even after years of owning a computer?
If so, this seminar is for you!
Here are some of the topics we’ll cover:
Basic computer terminology — RAM, hard drive, CPU, files, folders, etc.
The Internet — security and annoyances
Wired and wireless networking
Understanding problems — hardware troubles, slow computer, etc.
Using the Apple keyboard and mouse
Navigating the OS X desktop and folders
Networking and printing with Macs
Using digital cameras and iPhoto
The first half of the seminar will cover generic computer topics which are applicable to Windows XP
as well as Macintosh computers.
The second half will focus on Mac-specific items.
Attendance is by registration only.
You must register by July 7.

This seminar is offered for free, but we do request a $10 donation at the door.
Our Macintosh User Group does not charge member dues,
and your donation will help defray our meeting expenses.
