Welcome to the National Capital Apple Macintosh Users Group web site.
The National Capital Apple Macintosh Users Group (NCA-MUG) is a Washington, D.C.-based group
of Mac enthusiasts.
Our members gather on one Saturday each month (except August and December),
to learn and share information and resources,
and add to our knowledge about the Apple’s Macintosh computer and related software.
NCA-MUG membership includes everyone:
people of all ages, from beginners to highly-advanced Mac users.
We do our best to accommodate everyone’s interests and abilities.
Topics discussed during our
monthly meetings are diverse and cover everything
from general computer skills
and “tips & tricks” for making better use of your computer to more complex topics,
such as moving your photography to the computer, learning to create databases,
doing online research, exploring the elements of graphic design, and much more.
In addition to our meetings, this web site and our Yahoo-based list
have both been created as resources for members.
The
NCA-MUG List,
is the place for members to share ideas and news,
and to seek and offer advice, between meetings;
the NCA-MUG web site, as a much broader resource,
is often updated with information about upcoming meeting programs,
holds the MUG’s official archive for the notes of past NCA-MUG meetings
as well as being an archive for our newsletter,
The PotoMac Times.
It is also the place for members to find
“
Special Offers,” and to check our
calendar of forthcoming events.
If you are a Mac user—or would like to become one—and would like to learn more about our group,
we invite you to explore our site and to attend an NCA-MUG meeting.
As of July, 2008, NCA-MUG meetings take place on a designated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the
Cleveland Park Neighborhood Library.
